" I'm not satisfied with my job'. You get to hear this sentence from within you as well as from others so often. I though why not share some thoughts on this aspect today.
By the way, what is job satisfaction as such. What are the parameter where its bullish? In my opinion, job satisfaction is nothing but a state of mind. You get satisfied owing to the result of one action and dissatisfied with another. Or in other word, you try to weigh those instances when you were extremely happy with your work-in-hand on one side while on the other side those times when you were'nt so. Mind you, the answer which you get at one particular time is always different.
Thats bring us to the first conclusion: Job satisfaction is a propotional to time.
Lets go furthur...
Individual job satisfaction is related to the decision making environment, team support,range of job, low stress,emoluments,career growth,job security etc.
Decision making environment - Organization makes wide range of decision daily and multiple levels - some of them individually while others joint. Any individual who doesnt make decision of his own is bound for less job satisfaction.
Hence, an organization should ensure that all employees are involved in a joint decision making at different levels.
Team support - An individual requires team support in all his/her activities. So its an obligation of employees to give resonable treatment possible for his/her co-workers..
